Scolopentra Morsitans Commonly known as the red headed centipede or Tanzanian blue ringlet. It is a highly adaptable venomous centipede native to mainland regions of Australia, Africa and Southern Asia. As a nocturnal predator, it uses its modified, venom-injecting front legs (maxillipeds) to hunt other arthropods and insects. It thrives in various ecosystems ranging from arid deserts to tropical forests. They spend the day sheltering underground or under logs, leaf litter, and bark.
