Lampropepla rothschildi is a large, vividly coloured jewel beetle native to Madagascar, belonging to the Buprestidae family. Features a brilliant metallic green head, turquoise legs, and wine-colored to deep purple wing covers (elytra) with white flecks. It has distinct powdery yellow "false-eye" spots directly behind its head.
